The Journey

The setbacks, the rebuilds, and the resilience of Nature's Roots.
Our Story
Growing through adversity
Building a sustainable agriculture ecosystem from the ground up takes more than passion — it takes profound resilience. Our path to commercial-scale aquaponics and specialty herb fields has been tested by severe natural causes, forcing us to adapt, rebuild, and grow stronger at every turn.
Setback
Weathering the storms
Our infrastructure has faced direct hits from extreme weather. Severe flooding completely disrupted our early field progress, testing our soil management and drainage strategies. More recently, a major storm caused a massive tree to fall directly onto our farm camper, resulting in a total structural loss.
The Response
Pivoting & rebuilding
Rather than letting these natural disasters halt our mission, they have solidified our focus. We are actively working through these physical challenges to clear our land, adapt our strategies, and secure the resilient infrastructure necessary for long-term agricultural growth.
Where We Are Headed
Already growing
The farm family
While we map out the future configuration of our 2-IBC Aquaponics Lab, our sustainable ecosystem is already thriving. We have expanded our farm family to include 2 hens and 2 roosters, bringing natural pest control and vital energy to our homestead footprint.
