June is upon us and the year is just about half way over. Can you believe it? As the days go by, the farm is shaping up and our vision is taking physical form. We are busy as ever and excited for this month as we have just added a new delivery route heading out west to Chapel Hill, Hillsborough and Greensboro. We also added a new drop location on the Thursday South delivery to Raeford CrossFit gym which we are very excited about. Along with the new delivery route and drop point, you will notice that we will have a new delivery driver so be sure to welcome David Forte to the team. He will be handling our South delivery route starting this Thursday and Brian will continue to handle our West Delivery route every Monday for the time being.

Farm Updates Lately time has been flying by and everyday seems to get busier and busier. The animals are doing great and the family is doing even better. We have been getting sporadic help to work with us on various projects here at the farm. The last visitor we had was a young woman from Nova Scotia we found through the WWOOFUSA.ORG website. She worked very well with us and really picked up our routine right from the beginning. Even though we only had her help for a week, it was awesome to have her and it looks like she may return for a longer stay in the Fall and work with us through our internship program and also to help with baby Willow.

Farm Updates: We can't believe it's already been 5 weeks since we made the transition to NC. Things are steadily coming together and business is starting to pickup. The cows are doing well here at the new farm and have adjusted very nicely to a daily routine. The piggies have been working non-stop on clearing the greenery and are rooting up a storm. Last week our layers arrived down the road to Healthy Hen Farms to be brooded and we also purchased 75 guinea keets as a natural tick control that are also in the brooder at Healthy Hen Farms. The laying hens will start to lay eggs in about 21 weeks so be looking for our eggs on the website in the Fall. Although we do not currently have enough eggs to sell from our 6 chickens at the moment, we are getting soy-free, certified organic eggs from Healthy Hen Farms to supplement until our layers are producing so you can find those on our website now.
