It’s been a great week here on the farm, busy, but freaking awesome! Over the past the couple weeks I have shared on the mind and body components of holistic living and how I have incorporated them into my life. This week I want to talk about the spirituality component. I think initially this sounds like a theological discussion, but bear with me because I promise its not. From my experience in growing up with a Christian background, spirituality was tied to religion and rules but I think it's way beyond that. Spirituality for me is living my life day to day on the farm producing great food while dancing around the land with the animals creating a piece of living art on the landscape around us. Hello! It is a great day to be alive and kickin’ this beautiful Monday morning. Although the heat is back in session, our family is doing great and the animals are loving life. Last week I started writing about holistic living and I started this series by talking about how important it was for me to clear the clutter out of my life so that I could tune in with my mind. I gave a little history of my story and how my past experiences have led me and my family to where we are today. One of the most monumental moments that transformed my walk was the accident I had back in 2005. As the years went on I started to discover the realities and struggles of holistic living not only in my life but in a majority of others that I directly and indirectly interacted with on a daily basis. I removed myself from the conventional model, stepped out of that box, and got in tune with my environment. Removing clutter in my life was not an easy task. It has become a regular practice to inventory the stresses and stressors that affect me day by day to be able to effectively stay in tune with my mind, body, and spirit.

Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a great week last week. The rain has been pretty constant around here and I love it. Everything stays so green when there is rain around. Last week, I briefly talked about holistic management and how we try to incorporate this management style into not only our farming operation but our personal walks as well. Over the next few weeks I want to take y'all on a small journey and show how I have incorporated holistic management into my life and help others break through to the next level.
