Full Steam Ahead!
Good evening family, friends, and faithful patrons. Let me be the first to wish you a Happy New Year. I hope 2020 was as awesome for you as it was for us. This year has zipped on by and we have gotten so many awesome things accomplished. We have more awesome projects currently in the works as well as planning and laying the groundwork for 2021. It can seem very overwhelming at times, but dedication, diligence, persistence, and servitude keep our train rolling.
One of my biggest accomplishments this year has been being able to conquer myself. Over my life span I have been my own worst enemy and have had a track record of self sabotaging many routes to success. Not 2020 though! In 2020 I faced myself and forged a new pathway to success. I trailblazed new pathways for our family and the farm. Angela and I buckled down and started fine tuning our educational programs that we offer here at the farm. We have had quite a few volunteers come through the farm in 2020 and we have also had a steady flow of interns. We even had our first intern finish the new and improved six month internship last week (Farewell & Best of Luck to Preston!) Some of you probably even noticed that we did not host a Fall Festival this year. No, it wasn't because of the dampenic, we actually decided to transition to more of an educational style event so we hosted the Full Immersion Earthworks course in the Fall and had an awesome three day hands on event and demonstration. Stay tuned for future on-farm workshops upcoming in 2021.
Speaking of upcoming workshops, we are launching our first online Self Reliance/Permaculture/Homesteading Program starting Jan 4th. Root Cause will consist of a six month journey discovering and identifying your passions, tapping into tools and methods to successfully achieve your goals and aspirations for your sustainable future. I am super excited to share my story and open my life up to you all through this exciting new program. We will be covering three modules, mindfulness, nutrition, and homesteading, over the six months. Each month there will be two live seminars via Zoom with a question and answer portion so that everyone can address their interests and maximize their learning experience. There will also be assigned homework and additional resources, podcasts, and articles that will be sent throughout the duration of the program.
If you have any lingering questions about our new program Root Cause, please drop us a line and we will get you any information requested. It's not too late to register. If you register by Dec 31st, you are entitled to a $50 discount if you use code: roots456. We have had various questions on key topics that will be addressed in the modules, so we will provide a sneak peak on Facebook and Instagram throughout this week. Just a reminder our home delivery is this Thursday. Though the order deadline was last night at midnight we will accept orders through tonight since we were late getting the newsletter out. So be sure to email us ASAP if you would like an order for this week.Below is a beautiful picture of the sunrise at our farm! Thank you for your continued patronage and support!
